Leadership Team

Mrs. Rupa Gupta is the Joint Director of MIER Group of Institutions. She has over 17 years of teaching, administrative and managerial experience at school and college level. Mrs. Rupa Gupta holds a Master Degree in Sociology and Education from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla respectively. She has also done Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from the University of Jammu. She has also completed a professional programme in 'Women in Leadership' from Case Western Reserve University, USA and has attended numerous webinars, workshops and training programmes for her professional development.

As the Joint Director, MIER her key responsibilities are to accomplish educational goals and determine future improvements in coordination with the management team. She oversees the curriculum development process at the school and college level as per set policies. She is also responsible for the staff development programme by liaising with external agencies. She organizes and coordinates special events, parent conferences, etc. to felicitate communication and improve student learning.

Mrs. Rupa is also assigned to coordinate and monitor admissions in different wings of the institution. She assists in preparing annual budgets as well. Further, she supervises campus development, infrastructure improvement and maintenance and environment related initiatives.

She is also the Director of Smt. Shanti Gupta Centre for Women's Studies, MIER College of Education and ensures that the objectives of the centre concerning women are achieved through gender sensitization programmes, counselling sessions, workshops, seminars, research studies and extension programmes for women.

Mrs. Rupa enjoys music and theatre. She was the member of school choir and drama club. She had organized and participated in a number of cultural events at school and college level. She loves reading and travelling and has visited various countries across South East Asia, America and Australia. As a keen basketball player during her school days, she represented her school in various inter- school events as the captain of the school basketball team.
